DIY Flower Greeting Card for All Occations
I have made many different cards for my family and relatives over the years, so I know coming up with a card design can be a hassle sometimes. It’s just easier to give up, go to a store, and grab a nice-looking card.
But there is something so special about handmade cards! And if we can’t come up with a design ourselves, then we can go search for some inspiration and ideas on the internet.
This flower greeting card is perfect for all occasions! It’s not too difficult to make, but it does take some time.
The inspiration for this card came from one of my flower coloring pages that I have to share with you some day!
Materials
Card stock ( I used A5 size)
Markers/colored pencils/watercolors etc.
Scissors
Glue stick
Download and print
Recommended paper sizes: A4 or letter
For best results, choose actual size when printing!
1. Print and color
Print out this page and color the flowers and leaves that you want to use. I used markers and colored pencils.
2. Cut the flowers, leaves, and a circle
Cut the flowers and leaves. Surprisingly, this was the most time-consuming and difficult step!
For the middle part, we are going to need a circle that is a different color than the main card. You can use a cup or a lid to help you draw a circle before cutting it. Most of the flowers and leaves will cover the circle, so it doesn’t have to be perfect!
3. Glue the circle
Glue the circle in the middle of your card.
4. Glue everything in place
Glue the flowers and leaves to the edges of the circle.
I actually placed everything on the card without gluing them first, then took a picture of it and finally started gluing everything in place. It was much easier that way!
Write your message in the middle, and your flower card is complete!
If you have any leftover flowers or leaves you can use them for your other crafting projects!
