Summer Hama/Perler Bead Ideas: Flowers, Butterflies, Landscapes, and More!
I have noticed that summertime really gives me artistic inspiration, and I’m surprisingly motivated to actually bring my ideas to life! Sadly, summer just seems to go too fast, and before you realize it, it’s already the beginning of September.
So to really celebrate and appreciate summer, I decided to make some more colorful and fun melty bead designs with Hama beads. It is such a fun summer holiday activity for both kids and adults!
You can find a variety of different melty bead patterns in this blog post, such as flowers, butterflies, popsicles, character designs, and landscapes.
Materials
Beads (Hama, Perler, Nabbi, etc.)
Pegboards (large square and large hexagon)
Iron
Parchment paper
You can grab some magnetic tape and decorate your fridge door with these summer melty bead designs!
Bee and daisies
Flowers are one of the first things that come to my mind when I think about summer.
I decided to use the hexagon board for the bee design.
Strawberry, watermelon, and lemonade
Here are some refreshing and delicious melty bead designs to make. I used transparent aqua Hama beads for the glass, and I really like how it turned out!
Colorful popsicles and an ice cream cone
This July has been super hot! Luckily there is ice cream.
Summer dresses
Let’s design some colorful outfits that scream summer!
Butterfly designs
Of course we have to make butterflies as well. These designs were inspired by day and night.
Lighthouse
Lighthouse and bright blue ocean waves. This design was quite complicated to make, but I feel it was worth the effort! You don’t have to use this many different blue colors for the water (I’m often bad at keeping things simple).
Camping
A nice camping landscape for those who love the outdoors!
Sunflower and beach
Here are two more ideas for you to try: a gorgeous yellow sunflower and a beach scene.
These were so much fun to design and create. I’ll have to make some more designs for fall and winter as well.
